¬ L’ORCHESTRE SYMPATHIQUE was formed by world-renowned percussionist/vibraphonist Jean Vanasse (an ADISQ nominee) and flutist/pianist Francois Richard, who toured Canada and Europe extensively during the 1980’s. Both are still very active in the jazz community today, having played a reunion show at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2004.

¬ This CD is a REMASTERED reissue of L’ORCHESTRE SYMPATHIQUE’s first album released in 1979, recorded LIVE at LA GRANDE PASSE in Montreal, featuring Vanasse and Richard, with Mathieu Leger on drums and Warren Stolow on bass, playing some of the best progressive jazz from Quebec (comparable to the legendary group Maneige).

¬ NO OTHER RECORD FROM THIS GROUP HAS EVER BEEN REISSUED ON CD !
