Chilly Beach

Based on the award-winning, Gemini-nominated CBC series with 240,000 viewers per episode!

The hit TV series is "one of the funniest shows anywhere" (Globe and Mail).  NowChilly Beachspawns a hilarious epic movie packed with spectacular action, intrigue, and highlights from the 1972 Canada/Russia hockey series.

Crudely drawn yet loveable Canucks Dale and Frank just want Canada to have warmer weather.  But their harmless experiment in climate control goes all catastrophic on them and destroys the entire planet.  Now these clueless hosers must sober up long enough to travel back in time and undo the damage they did before they do it.  It's a hysterical, thrilling, and not particularly heartwarming adventure for almost the entire family.

ChillyBeachwas originally conceived as a series of crude, online “webisodes” about life in the far, far north. A labour of love by a dot-com startup called Infopreneur, was launched in 1998 and quickly gained traction as one of the premiere web-based shows built entirely on the then-nascent Flash development platform.

After gaining widespread popularity and industry accolades,ChillyBeachexpanded into television in 2003, launching into its first season with CBC Television. This was perhaps first time an Internet property was picked up by a national network. The show quickly gained popularity, winning its timeslot among children’s and youth programming.

Chilly Beachis currently in its third successful season on the national network.
